Foundation for Advancing Science and Technology (FAST India) is pleased to launch the fourth edition of the India Science Book Fellowship for scientists, science writers, communicators and anybody interested in writing a popular science book in non-fiction.

Popular science books play a crucial role in enhancing public understanding and appreciation of science by conveying complex scientific concepts in simpler, more engaging ways ─ and here’s your chance to make a lasting impact in this direction through this book fellowship.

If you are a scientist, researcher, scholar, writer, journalist, or simply someone carrying a compelling science story that deserves a wider audience, FAST India invites you to apply to the India Science Book Fellowship (ISBF) 2026 – 2027, which is now accepting applications for its fourth cohort. They are looking for intellectual curiosity, originality of thought, clarity of purpose, and the commitment required to sustain a book-length project. The application process is designed to understand not just what you want to write, but why you are the right person to write it. Tell them why your idea could be the next big science book for India, from India. The last date to apply for the first abstract round is 31 July 2026.
