The Murty Science Fellowship supports exceptional early-career scientists working at Indian institutions. It provides substantial, flexible support for ambitious fundamental research, giving fellows the resources and autonomy to build independent research programmes in India. Candidates are nominated by eligible host institutions; self-nominations are not accepted.
