Event Details

Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools, like ChatGPT, are increasingly becoming a part of our daily lives, from helping us write better emails to planning our holidays. Not surprisingly, it is making inroads into the field of education too. While such tools can aid learning, they come with a risk of students becoming over-dependent on these tools without understanding the way they function or their limitations.

So, what is GenAI? What does ChatGPT do when you give it a prompt’? What are the benefits and limitations of generative AI tools in teaching and learning? How can educators use these tools creatively in their classrooms, while ensuring that their students do not become over-dependent on them?

This webinar aims to address these questions and more.

The webinar will be useful for biology educators teaching in colleges and universities, and their students.

Date: 21 June 2024
