Profile
Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a DBT funded Project in the Laboratory of Dr. Mahendran K R at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Akkulam Campus, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Age limit: Below 32 years as on October 25, 2024 . Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Duration
Initially for a period of six months or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier) and extendable based on the performance evaluation.
Money
₹ 37,000/- + 18 % HRA per month for NET/GATE qualified candidates.
Qualification
- Good Academic record with atleast 70% marks in Master’s Degree in Life sciences/Microbiology/Biotechnology, Chemistry/Physics /Biochemistry are eligible to apply.
- The Candidate should have qualified National Eligibility Test CSIR/UGC NET/GATE.
Experience
One year experience in working with membrane proteins, single-molecule biophysics techniques, synthetic cells, Nanosciences, molecular biology, analytical chemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry.

- If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
