Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the scheme of ​“Short-Term Research Fellowship”, NIPGR under the supervision of Dr. Jitender Giri, NIPGR. Emoluments will be at par with similar fellowships by DBT/DST and NIPGR fellowship norms.

The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidates against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidates. Reservation of post shall be as per Government of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be extended/​curtailed based on the assessment of the candidate’s performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority.

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum No. DST/PCPM/Z‑06/2022 dated June 26, 2023 with an M.Sc. and two-year research experience after completion of M.Sc. are eligible to apply. 

The candidate must have exhaustive experience in rice tissue culture and gene editing in rice.

A web link with date and time of online interview will be emailed to the shortlisted candidates only. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
