Cell Engineer
Profile
Ceremorphic Technologies Pvt Ltd is building a next-generation virtual cell and are seeking a Lead Cell Engineer to architect its biological intelligence. In this role, you will design how signaling pathways, feedback loops, and molecular interactions emerge and interact within a computational cell. You will define network topology, develop mathematical frameworks, integrate experimental and structural data, and own the modeling strategy end-to-end.
This role requires a PhD in Systems Biology, Computational Biology, Biophysics, or a related field, along with 3 – 5+ years of experience modeling multi-pathway signaling systems.
Key Skills and Experience
- Deep understanding of major signaling pathways (MAPK, PI3K-AKT, mTOR, p53, NF-κB) and their biological constraints
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB
- Experience with ODE/PDE modeling, stochastic simulations, parameter estimation, sensitivity and bifurcation analysis
- Familiarity with tools such as COPASI, VCell, BioNetGen, or PySB is highly desirable
In this role, you will serve as the scientific integrator — bridging wet-lab biologists, structural modelers, medicinal chemists, and software engineers — while ensuring coherence and biological realism across the entire modeling stack.

Qualification
PhD in Biophysics, Applied Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, or Physics with biology applications.
Experience
- Strong mathematical background (dynamical systems, numerical analysis)
- 2 – 5 years building quantitative biological models
- Track record of solving complex ODE/PDE systems
