JRF/Project Assistant

 Haryana, India

Profile

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of project-JRF/Project Assistant in the research area of circadian biology under the MoES Project to understand the stress related perturbance in circadian regulation of physiology and biochemistry in phytoplanktons.

Project Description: Many key physiological processes are driven by the endogenous circadian clock. Using simple unicellular marine phytoplanktons this project aims to understand how increase in temperature and dissolved carbon dioxide impinge on the circadian clock driven physiology and biochemistry in these single celled marine organisms. They will employ biochemical, microscopy, molecular biology and high throughput ‑omics tools to study the stress driven changes in circadian physiology.

Apart from the project the person will assist in daily operations of the laboratory that includes maintenance of project related inventories and ordering of consumables. Appropriate training and supervision specific to the project will be provided.
