Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is a Comprehensive Cancer Centre with a mission to achieve the highest standards in patient care, prevention, research and professional development in oncology and allied disciplines. TMC is an autonomous Grant-In-Aid Institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. TMC is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) for its academic programme in Health and Life Sciences. The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Tata Memorial Centre, invites applications from eligible candidates of Indian Nationality who are keen to pursue a career in cancer research at ACTREC

Money

1. Scientific Officer E’ (UR – 4)

Level of Pay (Pre-revised Pay in Pay band and Grade Pay): Level-12 (Pre-revised PB‑3, ₹ 15,600−39,100 + GP 7600/-) Initial Pay – ₹ 78,800/ (Level-12, Cell‑1), Total emoluments = 1,12,700/- p.m.

2. Scientific Officer D’ (UR – 4)

Level of Pay (Pre-revised Pay in Pay band and Grade Pay): Level – 11 (Pre-revised PB‑3, ₹ 15,600−39,100 + GP 6600/-) Initial Pay – ₹ 67,700/ (Level – 11, Cell – 1), Total emoluments = 97,900/- p.m.

Qualification

1. Scientific Officer E’ (UR – 4) Upper Age limit: 45 Yrs. 

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in the areas of Cancer Immunotherapy, Tumour Microenvironment and Hypoxia, Computational Biology and Bioinformatics or any other relevant field of Cancer Biology. 

2. Scientific Officer D’ (UR – 4) Upper Age limit: 40 Yrs. 

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. or M.D. / Ph.D. in any relevant field of Cancer Biology.

Experience

1. Scientific Officer E’ (UR – 4)

Experience: At least four years Post MD / Ph.D. research experience with excellent publications.

2. Scientific Officer D’ (UR – 4) U

Experience: At least one year post MD / Ph.D. research experience with excellent publications

The successful candidates are expected to conduct innovative basic and translational research and contribute to the academic mission of ACTREC/TMC. The positions offer ample opportunities for close collaboration with clinicians and scientists in a thriving world class tertiary cancer hospital.
