Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for post-doctoral positions at the Cancer Research Institute, ACTREC for the advertised projects. The applicant must have obtained a PhD degree from a recognized University. Those who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates, if selected, will be offered a fellowship equivalent of a Senior Research Fellow until they obtain their degree. The position is for 2 years. Azim Premji University is looking for interns (or volunteers) for an urban ecology project in Dehradun to study the effects of invasive predators on the bird community in urban greens paces. We are looking for ONE intern for the ​‘Education’ vertical at IndiaBioscience for a period of 3 months. This is a full-time, paid position.

Responsibilities will include working with the Program Manager-Education in creating content for the Education column and organising in-person and online events under the Education vertical of IndiaBioscience. The intern will also be working on the compilation and generation of the Abstract Book and the Postdoctoral Fellows’ Database for the Young Investigators’ Meeting 2024, Bhopal.

The intern may be given an opportunity to accompany Team IndiaBioscience to YIM 2024 and be given additional responsibilities related to the meeting. More information can be found here.

We are looking for TWO interns in the ​‘Science Communication’ vertical at IndiaBioscience for the period of 3 months. These are part-time, paid positions.

Intern 1 (Science Writing): Responsibilities will include helping in the coordination of projects presently underway in the ​‘Science Communication’ vertical at IndiaBioscience and contributing towards generating content for the IndiaBioscience website and compendia. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, strong writing skills, a keen interest in communicating science, good organisational capabilities and ability to work in a team.

Intern 2 (Social Media): Responsibilities will include helping in the coordination of projects presently underway in the ​‘Science Communication’ vertical at IndiaBioscience and contributing towards generating content for the IndiaBioscience social media platforms. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, strong social media copywriting skills, a keen interest in communicating science, familiarity with content relevant to different social media platforms, and the ability to work in a team. We are looking for ONE intern for the ​‘Digital Initiatives’ vertical at IndiaBioscience for 3 months. This is a part-time, paid position.

The intern should be interested in learning about podcasting and developing podcasts for IndiaBioscience from January-March 2024. This is a part-time position. The candidate will work 4 hours a day from Monday to Friday every week.

Responsibilities will include helping in the recording, editing, and production of IndiaBiospeaks podcasts and generating content for the publicity of podcasts. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, a keen interest in media production, good organizational capabilities, and the ability to work in a team.

The intern may be given an opportunity to accompany Team IndiaBioscience to YIM 2024, Bhopal, and be given responsibilities related to digital initiatives at the meeting. More information can be found here.
