About the webinar
In this webinar in partnership with EMBO, the speaker- Bernd Pulverer will explore the publication criteria and policies of EMBO Press journals, emphasising a constructive and efficient approach to improving research with minimal friction for researchers. It will highlight the synergy between peer-reviewed scientific journals, Open Science, and data repositories, focusing on initiatives like ‘refereed preprints,’ Review Commons’ journal-agnostic review service, and the publication of curated, quality-controlled source data. These efforts aim to accelerate scientific sharing and foster a more constructive research assessment. The discussion will also delve into the integration of data-focused peer review, AI-human quality control, and Open Science platforms, which promote transparency and timely dissemination of research.
