GENETIKS4U

Genetiks4U is a science outreach project funded by the IndiaBioscience Outreach Grants. It is a collaborative effort by Chandana Basu and Garima Jain, Banaras Hindu University and Nandini Chilkam, Learn With Comics. The project aims to take the concepts of genetics to school children (Grade 9-12) through comics, story telling and hands on experiments, and in doing so is making genetics approachable and understandable to young people.

Please find here the e-resources created by GENETIKS4U, a compendium entitled "Genetic Odyssey - Genetics concepts through comics". In this, readers can browse through two of the stories presented in comic style entitled "DNA-code of life" explaining about our genetic material and "DNA defenders" explaining about cancer. These stories are available in English and also in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Gujarati in this e-book.
