Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai is organising a Workshop on ​‘Zebrafish Embryotoxicity and Advanced Molecular Techniques’ from 4^th to 7^th December 2024.

Zebrafish (Danio rerio) has become a prominent vertebrate model for understanding the pathophysiology of the disease, in vivo model for development, neurotoxicity research, and many more. This training program is intended for Students (UG PG)/ Research Scholars/​Academic Professionals/​Industrialists to understand the use of zebrafish models in scientific research. The workshop includes introductory lectures on zebrafish models and hands-on practical sessions related to zebrafish husbandry, developmental stages, neurotoxicity, Microinjection, Apoptosis assay, Histology using cryostat and rotary microtome, also the imaging of Zebrafish embryos using confocal microscope.
