17th Young Investigators’ Meeting
IndiaBioscience recently concluded the 17th Young Investigators’ Meeting in Agra, with support from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence.
The in-person meeting hosted 40 Young Investigators (YIs) from across India and 40 Postdoctoral fellows (PDFs) from India and abroad, along with a range of mentors, senior scientists, industry and academic representatives. With talks and sessions across five days, YIM 2025 brought together the best of the life sciences and stellar global science to India, all while showcasing incredible India.
We hope the meeting will inspire the YIs and PDFs as they craft their career paths, and further facilitate engagement across academia, industry, and government, including private and international partnerships in the life sciences in India.Dialogue on leadership roles for women in shaping academia
Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and IndiaBioscience in collaboration with Power Bio organised the meeting ‘Dialogue on leadership roles for women in shaping academia’ on 6 – 7 February 2025 at IIT Bombay.

This two-day event addressed barriers and strategies to enhance gender equity in Indian academia through discussions on recruitment, establishing research groups, navigating promotions, and leadership visibility.
Poster presentation at NCBS Annual Talks 2025
IndiaBioscience was excited to be part of the NCBS Annual Talks 2025 during its poster session from 15 – 17 January 2025.
Manjula Harikrishan had the opportunity to engage with students and researchers, share insights into our initiatives, and discuss various ways to engage with us in science communication, IndiaBioscience Outreach Grants, skill-building sessions, networking, and our digital initiatives. It was a wonderful platform to connect and showcase the IndiaBioscience resources with the life science community and exchange ideas and feedback.
