TIGS is a program driven research institute with a focus on solving pressing societal challenges. We are seeking applications from enthusiastic candidates to join as Research Associate in DBT funded project to work on genome editing of crop plants.

The selected candidate is required to work on identifying candidate genes from various datasets to establish gene to phenotype relation for the targeted traits through a genome editing approach; experience in bioinformatic tools; molecular biology and vector construction is an added advantage. The selected candidate is expected to develop tissue culture protocols and genome editing tools for new crop varieties and support ongoing efforts on molecular and phenotypic evaluation of genome edited lines.

Initially for one year

PhD in Plant Sciences, Plant Biotechnology, Genetics, and Plant Breeding or related discipline with 1 – 2 years of relevant research experience.

Preference will be given to the candidate with relevant research experience and a proven record of research publications in reputed journals.
