TIGS is a program driven research institute with a focus on solving pressing societal challenges. They seek applications from enthusiastic candidates to join as Research Assistant in Rare Genetic Disorder Program.

Research Assistant (JC — 22): Selected candidate is expected to

• Execute research studies that contribute to the diagnosis of neurological rare genetic disorders
• The work involves working closely with the hospital teams, acquire and process patient samples, storage and documentation
• Expected to contribute to the ongoing development of LC-MS/MS based diagnostic protocols and workflow
• Maintain accurate record books of protocols, experiments, and results
• Expected to have problem-solving skills, work both independently and collaboratively with the team

Initially for one year.

MSc in Human Genetics, Bioinformatics, Clinical biochemistry, Medical Biochemistry or equivalent

Basic understanding of neurobiology and genetic disorders, biochemical techniques, good writing and communication skills.

Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in using LC-MS/MS, HPLC in an industry or academic organization. NGS-based wet lab processes, bioinformatics pipeline development to process and analyse data.
