Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Hyderabad (TIFRH) is a premier research centre carrying out basic research in the field of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. TIFRH is inviting applications for Junior Research Fellow and Project Associate positions for the research in the area of cell and molecular biology.

The project aims to understand the genetic and molecular mechanism of mitochondrial quality control/​biogenesis and metabolic diseases using Drosophila and human cell lines. The projects involve genetic screening, genome editing, genomics, protein interaction, histology and confocal imaging.

Selected individuals will be part of an interdisciplinary research environment with opportunities to learn classic as well as state-of-the-arts research technologies.

The initial position is only for one year, which can be further extended based on the progress.

Project Associate position – Rs. 25,000 + HRA

JRF position – Rs. 31, 000 + HRA

• MSc or BTech degrees can apply for the Project Associate position.
• Candidates who have qualified NET/GATE/DBT/ICMR or similar national level exams will be eligible for the JRF position.
