Applications are invited for up to TWOposts of RESEARCH ASSITANT (RA) on a temporary basis for Biophysics Projectin the Soft Condensed Matter Group of the Institute.

Upper Age Limit: The upper as limit is 45 years, as on the last date for closing of applications.

The position is for 1 year with first 6 months under probation. Position may be extended up to a maximum of 2 years, with regular evaluation.

A consolidated remuneration of Rs. 23,500/- with 24% HRA on the consolidated remuneration per month will be paid to the selected candidates. An increment of Rs.1000/- will be provided in the second year.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech or B.E./B.Tech in any field with atleast 1 year of academic research or industrial work experience in building nano and microfluidic devices.

Desirable: Experimental work experience in a lab in the fields of microfluidics, optics, biophysics, single molecule experiments, microscopy, nanodevices, and/​or electric and electronic measurements on biological samples will be preferred. Familiarity with programming languages, preferably LabVIEW and/​or Matlab is desired. Some experience with handling DNA and protein bio material is also desirable.
