Hormonal Control of Differential Cell Elongation in Arabidopsis thaliana

Profile

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Project Associate‑I (PA‑I) in the scheme of Short-Term Research Fellowship”, NIPGR under the supervision of Dr. Pawan Kumar Jewaria, Scientist, NIPGR. Emoluments will be at par with similar fellowships by DBT/DST and NIPGR fellowship norms.

Duration

The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be extended/​curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority.

Qualification

Candidates having a Master’s degree in Plant Biology/​Botany/​Genetics/​Biochemistry/​Biotechnology/​Agriculture/​Life Sciences or related fields with at least 55% (or equivalent) marks can apply. Candidates who qualify as per the criteria mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum No. SR/S9/Z‑05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply

Experience

Previous knowledge in Arabidopsis thaliana handling and transformation will be preferred. Experience in gene cloning and general molecular biology techniques is desirable.

A single pdf file, consisting of the application form, cover letter, and all documents, must be sent to pawanjewaria@​nipgr.​ac.​in within 15 days from the date of advertisement.

A web-link with the date and time of the online interview will be e‑mailed to the shortlisted candidates. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s).
