The candidate is expected to establish NIAB as a world class research institute and guide multi-disciplinary research teams. 

The post carries a basic pay of Rs. 2,25,000/-(Level-17 as per 7^th CPC) with allowances as per Central Government Rules for appointment on Deputation (ISTC)/Absorption.

A Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Sciences/​Animal Sciences/​Modern Biology/​Life Sciences/​Dairy Sciences or equivalent with specialization in the relevant area.

• A minimum of 15 years of research experience in responsible positions in the area of Veterinary Sciences/​Animal Sciences or any discipline relevant to Animal /​Veterinary Sciences.
• Excellent track record in the form of quality publications, evidence of patents and Technologies developed/​Transfer.
