Profile
We are looking for an intern in the ‘Community Building’ vertical at IndiaBioscience for the period of 3 months. This is a part-time, paid position.
The responsibilities of the role will include working on updating the compendia in the ‘Community Building’ vertical. This includes developing an edition II of resource booklet on funding opportunities for life science researchers in India. For this, the intern will help with the updating of information and search for new information/grants, under the guidance of the Program Manager, Community Building. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and writing skills, a good eye for details and a keen interest in developing this resource booklet, and the ability to meet deadlines and work in a team.
In 3 months part-time internship, the intern should be involved in
- Researching funding opportunities for life science researchers in India both national and international opportunities
- Review and update the existing grants in the edition I of the compendium and their links and with current/recent information
- Including anecdotes from the latest awardees
- Proofreading and making it consistent with IndiaBioscience guidelines
- Compilation of the entire booklet
- Editing the content for consistency
- Share designer-ready file for final compilation
- Minimal designing if possible
- Outreach planning of the compendium
Duration
3 months (extendable as required for up to 2 months) STARTING 01 May 1 2024. This position is open to an in-person or remote internship.
Money
A consolidated stipend (INR 15,000/month) will be paid for the duration of the part-time internship.
Qualification
The candidate will need a Master’s degree in any field of life sciences.
