The Hyderabad Eye Research Foundation (HERF) at the L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) is a DBT-Centre of Excellence for Translational Research on Eye Diseases. Their research activities are empowered by basic research and clinical research faculties working together in all areas of ocular biology and vision science. There is funding support from DBT/DST/SERB/CSIR/ICMR as well as other international agencies such as the Wellcome Trust, Champalimaud Foundation Portugal, NIH USA and other bi-national collaborative programs. They are recognized by the Manipal University for the Ph.D. degree program.

Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in Mammalian Cell Culture and routine Molecular Biology techniques like PCR, SDS-PAGE, and Western Blotting.
