The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (www​.instem​.res​.in), Bangalore is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. BRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at BRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory.

BRIC-inStem invites applications (online) from eligible candidates for contractual positions of following Scientific openings. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fastpaced, multi-disciplinary environment.

To conduct experiments in molecular biology and Drosophila genetics, including knockdowns, imaging, and functional assays. To contribute to ongoing research programs in immunometabolism, growth regulation, and genetic tools development.

Contractual appointment for 11 Eleven months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.

Project Associate-II Rs. 42,000/m+ HRA (Net Qualified) Rs. 33,000/m+ HRA (Non-Net Qualified)

M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biological Sciences / Zoology or equivalent from a recognized university and two years of experience in R&D in a Scientific organization.

Strong background in fruit fly genetics, handling and experimental systems, experience in molecular biology, gene expression and cell/​tissue specific studies.

Desirable: Familiarity with confocal microscopy, and CRISPRCAS9 based methods is advantageous.
