The Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee invites application from outstanding and enthusiastic researcher for a post-doctoral position under the mentorship of Dr Sachin Suresh Tiwari (Assistant Professor, Department of Bioscience and Bioengineering).

The prospective candidate is expected to have a PhD with specialization in any field of modern life science and background in rodent model handling/​behavioral analysis/​brain stereotaxic surgery . Experience with brain immunohistochemistry or recombinant DNA technology will be an added advantage. The candidate should have publications in peer reviewedjournals. Apart from research in this particular area, the candidate is expected to be involved in other academic responsibilities as deemed fit by department.

The duration of fellowship will be 2 Years, extendable by one more year.

The fellowship amount is Rs 55000 per month for first two years and Rs 60000 per month for third year (if extended) and a contingency amount of Rs 50000 per year will be awarded to the Post- doctoral fellow (PDF).

PhD (completed) in any field of modern life science with emphasis on neuroscience or neurological conditions.

• Strong background in rodent model handling/​behavioral analysis/​brain stereotaxic surgery
• Basic Expertise in brain immunohistochemistry or recombinant DNA technology or proteomics/​transcriptomics approaches
• Atleast one first author research article published in reputed journal
• Excellent speaking and writing skills in English, and experience in manuscript writing.
