Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow to work under the project titled ​“Cell and nuclear response in a uniaxial stretcher with micropatterns recapitulating native tissue morphology” in the School of Mechanical Sciences, IIT Goa. The project is sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology.

The project involves several aspects of mechanobiology, including cell culture, confocal imaging, image analysis, atomic force microscopy, traction force microscopy, micromechanisms, and molecular biology. While the work is primarily experimental, the candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate on image analysis and computational aspects, too.

One year, with the option to extend further.

1. B.Tech. in Biotechnology with a qualified GATE score; OR 
2. B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biology or an allied field with a qualified CSIR-UGC NET score.

Desirable: M.Tech. in Biotechnology with a qualified GATE score
