Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for promotion of high-quality science education and research in the country. The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the Project Assistant position on a contract basis.

Age: Not more than 50 years as on the closing date of the advertisement.

The position is temporary for a period of 2 years (or) the position is co-terminus with the project.

Rs. 20,000/- Plus 8% HRA

B.Sc. in any Biological Sciences or horticultural science or equivalent degree.

Desirable:

• M.Sc. in Botany/​Life Science/​Biotechnology/​Molecular Biology/​horticultural sciences with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Experience in the genetic transformation of Solanaceae plants like tomato or chilli crops, etc.
• Experience in the molecular cloning techniques used for gene editing technologies like CRISPR-Cas systems.

Candidates with hands-on experience in both agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation and CRISPR-CAS technology are crucial and highly desirable for advancing the advertised project.
