Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the Project Research Scientist – II (Non-medical) position funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India. The project is being carried out under Dr. Agiesh Kumar.B., Principal Investigator, Department of Clinical Virology, Institute of Advanced Virology.

Initially for a period of one year and extendable for two more years or till termination of the project whichever is earlier based on performance evaluation on yearly basis.

Rs. 67,000/- per month + HRA.

Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated Post Graduate Degree with three years post-qualification experience OR Phd in life sciences.

Desirable: Hands-on experience in PCR based assays, microbiology & biochemical screenings, multiplex assays, data analysis using statistical tools, diagnostic assay development, ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.

• All educational qualification certificates shall be from a recognized Board/​University.
• Experience gained shall be counted from the date of acquiring of prescribed minimum essential educational qualification.
• Only those candidates fulfilling all the essential qualifications, and qualifying the screening by a duly constituted screening committee will be short-listed for further selection process.
• The short-listed candidates will be selected through a selection process comprising of a written test and/​or interview.
• The appointment will be coterminous with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year and subsequent extensions will be based on performance and approval from the funding agency.
• Age relaxation will be given as per the ICMR guidelines.
• The position is purely temporary, and selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any claim for future positions at IAV or ICMR (permanent or otherwise).
