Applications are open for the position of Scientist” for the Indigenisation of Diagnostics Program at C‑CAMP. This is a hands-on scientist position responsible for laboratory activities reporting into Lead Quality CoE.

The C‑CAMP InDx Program for Indigenisation of Diagnostics is a GOI initiative towards Atmanirbhar Bharat — Diagnostics, anchored at C‑CAMP, Bangalore. C‑CAMP InDx 2.0 or the National Diagnostics Catapult was recently launched with the focus on infectious diseases; Acute Undifferentiated Febrile diseases (AUF) — Dengue, Malaria, Chikungunya, Leptosiprosis, Typhoid, Scrub Typhus; Influenza & ILI (COVID-19, RSV) and TB.

  1. Design, plan and execute experiments for projects on the diagnostic of infectious diseases
  2. Establish develop and validate analytical methods for testing of diagnostics
  3. Perform data analysis and interpretation
  4. Comply with cGLP and adopt good documentation practices
  5. Prepare Reports, Tech Transfer documents, Workflows and SOPs
  6. Manage procurements for laboratory activities
  7. Coordinate and collaborate with InDx CoEs, member organizations and other stakeholders
  8. Provide regular management updates
  9. Any other as assigned

Duration

This is a contractual position and is tenured for one year to be renewed further.

Qualification

MSc./Ph.D. in molecular biology or any related stream of biosciences with deep domain expertise and hands-on experience in assay development and optimizations preferably for diagnostics of infectious diseases. 

Experience

Should have at least 2 years of post-Ph.D. or 5 years of post‑M.Sc. working experience in RT-PCR-based molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases. Experience with antigen/antibody-based methods and point-of-care solutions such as LFAs will be preferred. Should have a working understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
