Dr Ujjaini Dasgupta’s group is looking for highly motivated students for the position of JRF (DBT funded Project) at Koita Centre for Digital Health-Ashoka, Trivedi School of Biosciences, Ashoka University, Sonipat.

Dr Dasgupta’s group has expertise in cancer biology, with a research focus on the metabolic modulations in the tissue microenvironment in non-communicable chronic diseases including cancer. Her group applies multi-omics approaches to uncover how lipid and glycolipid metabolism influences disease progression and response to therapy. They also work on identifying liquid biopsy-based lipid biomarkers for early diagnosis and prognosis of chronic and oncological diseases, in close collaboration with clinicians.

One year and can be extended till the end of the project (3 years) depending upon performance.

Rs. 37,000/- + 10% HRA per month

MSc/​MTech in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a closely related discipline with command of scientific programming and data analysis using R and Python.

Hands-on experience in machine learning and/​or deep learning for large-scale genomics data, including bulk and single cell/​spatial genomics/​transcriptomics is strongly desirable.
