The application will have the following components:

i) Post-doctoral fellows

Applications are welcome from Postdoctoral Fellows from anywhere in the world (including India) working broadly in the area of Life Sciences and have an interest in pursuing a science career in India. The applications can be filled online with the following items:
a) Resume
b) Short write-up on your research work
c) Statement of purpose about why you want to participate in YIM 2016
d) Recommendations from at least 1 referee.

In past years, we have had more PDFs apply than we can accommodate at YIM due to the size of our venue. We can assure you we try to be as fair as possible in selection and your application will be carefully reviewed by a selection panel. We consider many factors (not just publications), including years as a postdoc, your field of research, clarity of your written statements, letters of recommendation, gender and geographical diversity, and whether you have applied previously to YIM.

ii) Young investigators

Applications are welcome from young investigators, from various areas of the Life Sciences, who are in the early years (<10 years) of their career as an independent investigators in Indian academia. The applications can be filled online with the following items:
a) Resume
b) Research focus and vision
c) Statement of purpose about why you want to participate in YIM 2016
Note: letters of recommendation are not required for YIs.

Meeting costs:

Registration, hotel, food will be provided. We will reimburse economy air within India for YIs. We hope to be able to reimburse partial cost for international airfare for PDFs (estimated at $500 – 750). The amount of this reimbursement will depend upon final grant funding received for YIM 2017. Local transport to your local airport will not be covered; however, transport to and from Delhi will be covered and organized by our committee.
