IndiaBioscience will participate in The EMBO Meeting 2015, engaging with researchers throughout the meeting in two principal ways. On 7 September, a 90-minute satellite session is being organised for graduate students, postdocs and group leaders interested in research opportunities in India. Attendees can find out about setting up a laboratory in India, or moving to India for a postdoctoral fellowship. Speakers will include leading life scientists from India, and representatives from funding agencies.
Additionally, there will be a stall at the conference through the meeting (6−8 September), to encourage more interaction. Speakers and funding agency representatives will spend alloted slots of time at the booth to encourage more interaction and discussion. Material from funding agencies and institutes in India will be displayed prominently at the stall.
13:30 – 15:00 hrs, 7th September 2015
All speakers will give short talks, followed by a question-answer session. They will deal with various aspects of opportunities in India, life and careers in India. A panel of funding agency representatives and scientists will present short perspectives on obtaining funding for Indo-European and Indian research as well as on careers in India.
