About

The webinar is aimed at young investigators in life sciences. Join us for an informational session featuring Gerlind Wallon, EMBO, who will introduce the Global Investigator Network (GIN) and Young Investigator Programme (YIP). Next, Budhaditya Mukherjee from IIT-Kharagpur, an EMBO Global Investigator, will present their motivations to apply for the GIN programme, experiences during the application process and benefits of being EMBO Global Investigators. This will be followed by an interactive Q&A session.

Global Investigator Network (GIN) supports early career researchers within the first six years of setting up independent laboratories in India, Chile, Singapore or Taiwan. In addition to financial support, Global Investigators can join an extensive worldwide network of EMBO fellowships and grant awardees.

Young Investigator Programme (YIP) supports life scientists who have been group leaders for less than four years at the time of application in setting up their laboratories. Apart from the financial support provided for four years, they become part of an international network of more than 800 current and former EMBO Young Investigators, Installation Grantees and Global Investigators.

The session will be moderated by Moumita Mazumdar from IndiaBioscience.
