The competition invites Bangalore-based debaters, policy enthusiasts and MUN enthusiasts to participate in the first-of-its-kind model policy roundtable on the theme of ‘Industry-Academia Participation for Fostering Innovation’ Organised with support from our knowledge partner for the event, DST-Centre for Policy Research at IISc Bangalore, the competition invites students and young working professionals of the city of innovation, Bangalore, to participate in the mock policy discussion competition on the occasion of CCS’ Silver Foundation Year Celebration.
The competition aims to initiate an engaged conversation on the long-standing debate on the relevance and impact of industry-academia linkages. Participants shall take the role of one the following four stakeholders to present their views: Policymakers, International Organisational representatives, scientists/Academicians, and Industry Leaders.
Selection for the finals will be based on a short policy-pitch submission at the time of registration. Finals will be held on Wednesday, 10th August 2022 at Auditorium, BIC, Bangalore. Young working professionals, school students from 11th or 12th grade, students currently enrolled in bachelor’s, postgraduate or master’s, doctoral or postdoctoral courses are invited to participate in this competition and bring together perspectives of representatives from various stakeholder groups of the science-policy ecosystem.
