48th Annual Meeting and International Conference of the Indian Society of Human Genetics is scheduled between 21st and 24th January 2024 in the vibrant, warm and beautiful city of Ahmedabad.
This year’s conference is very special as it anthropomorphises the core tenets of human genetics- Sarva Mangalam Bhavatu – which means peace, health and prosperity for all. The conference has been envisioned to display the latest and cutting-edge scientific advancements in the field of clinical and basic genetics from all around the globe, with a special emphasis on treatment for rare genetic disorders. The conference will also be forum to renew friendships, extend networks and jointly explore current and future research directions.
This exciting and informative conference will comprise of 8 plenary sessions, 10 concurrent sessions and 4 hands-on workshops. These will be delivered by over 80 national and international scientists from India, USA, UK and Europe.
The plenary sessions will comprise of topics ranging from telomere-to-telomere sequencing, developing of cutting-edge diagnostic technologies, cancer chemoprevention, novel drug developments and much more. These are directed at clinicians, scientists and students interested in the broad topic of biotechnology.
The hands-on workshops are designed for clinicians, scientists and students to understand complex dysmorphic features, detecting and delineating genomic variations in the human genome in a robust and reliable manner and writing manuscripts for publication in international scientific journals such as The Lancet.
