Sandhya is a Professor in the Department of Molecular Reproduction, Development and Genetics at IISc where she studies the mechanism of signal transduction via cyclic nucleotides
in bacteria and the mammalian gut. She is also the co-chair of
Biosystems Science and Engineering Department, a Margadarshi Fellow of
the DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance, and has won numerous awards
including the J.C Bose fellowship and the TWAS fellowship.
