Applications are now invited for two Research Assistants to join the team of the Crop Improvement program at TIGS.

Research Assistant (JC — 13): Selected candidates are expected to support ongoing tissue culture and transformation experiments; to develop tissue culture protocols for new crop species and to support vector construction and molecular characterization of genome edited events. In addition, experience in collecting phenotypic data from greenhouse grown plants is an added advantage.

Initially for one year and extension based on performance review.

Master’s degree in Plant Sciences, Plant Biotechnology, Genetics and Plant Breeding or related discipline with 1 – 2 years of relevant research experience.

Preference will be given to the candidates with relevant research experience (tissue culture and transformation of crop plants/​vector construction/​molecular characterization).
