Project Manager

The applications are invited for the position of Project Manager for Bird LTEO (Long-Term Ecological Observatories) Project on biodiversity and climate change. While this is a multi-year project, we will offer an initial one-year contract to the successful applicant. The contract will be renewed based on the outcome of a review at the end of the initial year.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and work experience according to Government of India scales — eg between Rs 55,000 to 65,000 per month, all inclusive, for candidates with a PhD.


  • A Ph.D. degree, with the thesis preferably involving birds, or in other ecological sciences. In addition, exceptional applicants with an M.Sc. degree and four or more years experience in avian ecology may be considered.


Work experience demonstrating independent thinking and capacity in execution of science projects relating to avian ecologyExcellent organisational and people skillsAbility to independently facilitate meetings Excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishQuantitative skills including study design and statistical analysis in R (preferably) or other tools
