The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) — Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) is a premier research centre carrying out frontier research in the biological sciences located in Bangalore, 

looking for appointment of a Indo-Africa Program, Post doctoral Fellow – Indo Africa program on contract basis. We are seeking a Ph.D with experience working in a collaborative multi-institutional framework to play a role in Dengue and Pathogen sequencing program in Africa. The grant is extending a Dengue genetic diversity effort towards vaccine development and pathogen sequencing in Kenya and will involve collaborations with clinicians, industry and other sectors. A key component of the program will be enabling the African sequencing effort of our program. The candidate should have ability to analyze NGS data, summarize and communicate the information between Africa and India.

Qualification

1. Ph.D in Bioinformatics/​Computational Biology/​Life sciences

2. Candidate must have a strong background in next generation sequencing data analysis
