National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) invites applications from suitable individuals for the position of Executive (Outreach and Digital Media) on fixed term basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To prioritize, investigate, research, and write stories about science on campus.
• Work with the team to write scripts and assist in developing engaging audio-visual science content for the social media channels of NCBS.
• Work with the communications team for campus-wide outreach and public engagement events including Open day, and campus visits and tours.
• Assist with preparing reports and day-to-day activities.

Age limit: 28 years as on 01.07.2024

Salary will commensurate with experience and qualification

Post-graduate degree in Life Science from a recognized university.

• Proven and excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), with proven ability to write different types of content for a diverse audience.
• Basics of video editing and graphics designing
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Excellent organisational, timekeeping and prioritisation skills
• Capacity to manage different projects simultaneously

Desirable: Minimum 2 years of writing and producing audio-visual content as a Science Communicator in a Research Institute or any reputed Organisation.
