The Hyderabad Eye Research Foundation (HERF) at the L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) is a DBT-Centre of Excellence for Translational Research on Eye Diseases. Our research activities are empowered by basic research and clinical research faculties working together in all areas of ocular biology and vision science. We receive our funding support from DBT/DST/SERB/CSIR/ICMR as well as other international agencies such as the Wellcome Trust, Champalimaud Foundation Portugal, NIH USA and other bi-national collaborative programs. We are recognized by the Manipal University for the Ph.D. degree program.

One and half Years (July, 2021 – December, 2022; Subject to the performance of the candidate)

Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + House Rent Allowance (HRA), as per SERB norms.

M.Sc. in Life Sciences/​Zoology/​Biochemistry/​Biotechnology with valid GATE or NET Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience of Mammalian Cell Culture/​Stem Cells/​Extracellular Vesicles and routine Molecular Biology Techniques like PCR, SDS-PAGE, and Western Blotting.
