Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate – Veterinary/pharmacology at the Foundation for Neglected Disease Research (FNDR), Doddaballapur, Bengaluru, India.
Foundation for Neglected Disease Research (FNDR) is a not-for-profit biotech R&D organization dedicated to discovering and developing novel therapeutics, diagnostics, and devices for diseases with a high socio-economic impact. Since its inception in 2014, FNDR has generated a portfolio of therapeutics in tuberculosis, nontuberculous mycobacteria, malaria, dengue, leishmania, serious bacterial infections, fungal infections, COVID-19 and RSV, spanning over early- stage discovery to late-stage clinical trials. FNDR’s R&D Centre, which includes state-of-the-art BSL2 and BSL3 laboratories for both in vitro and in vivo research, is located in Bengaluru, India.
- Provide support to In vivo team in overall conduct of preclinical studies.
- Perform live phase study parameters like dose formulation preparation, dose administration, and blood collections from different sites etc.
- Conduct In-vivo pharmacokinetics studies by various routes in different species.
- Contribute to compound testing including PK/PD and efficacy studies.
- Maintain scientific documentation in an electronic lab notebook.
- Recording and compilation of study data as per requirement.
- Familiar with basic principles and guidelines with respect to preclinical studies.
- Support the scientists to develop and validate preclinical infection models for evaluation of novel therapeutics.
- Proactively review literature to bring in newest scientific findings, ideas, and methods/technologies for discovery research.
- Understand and adhere to CCSEA guidelines regarding animal welfare and handling.
- Perform weekend and holiday duties as per experimental needs.

Technical skills required:
- Basic handling of different species of animals.
- Dose administration via oral, i.v, s.c .…etc
- Blood collections from animals by different routes.
- Necropsy.
- Tissue collection and processing.
Basic attributes required:
- Aptitude for team working.
- Managing strict project timelines
- Proficiency in English, excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Computer skills (MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Money
Commensurate to experience and negotiable.
Qualification
MVSc or MSc Pharmacology (0 to 3 years’ experience in Industry is preferred).
