UM-DAE CEBS is an autonomous institution established in 2007 jointly by University of

Mumbai and Department of Atomic Energy, Govt of India, on the campus of the University to
impart high quality undergraduate and post graduate education to students after their 12th school
examination. The students are selected following a nation-wide examination called National
Entrance Screening Test (NEST). Considering the success of the joint venture, the Union Cabinet
granted in December 2015 ‘Aided Institution under DAE’ status to CEBS. The students are
awarded degrees by University of Mumbai.
