Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C‑CAMP) is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual fluent in Kannada to join the Agri Center of Excellence (CoE) at C‑CAMP as an Associate for Agri Deployment and Outreach. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the backbone of India’s agricultural sector and support the growth of innovative startups in the agri-tech domain.

1. Startup Deployment Support: Collaborate closely with agri-tech startups to facilitate the deployment of their solutions to relevant customers or end-users. This entails identifying potential deployment partners, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring seamless integration of innovative technologies into agricultural practices.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with various stakeholders, including farmers, agricultural cooperatives, government agencies, and industry partners, to comprehend their needs and align startup solutions accordingly. Foster strong relationships and cultivate collaborations to drive the adoption of innovative agri-tech solutions.
3. Outreach and Networking: Represent C‑CAMP’s Agri CoE at various events, conferences, and workshops, particularly in Karnataka. Network with key players in the agricultural ecosystem to broaden outreach and deepen impact.
4. Presentation and Documentation: Develop compelling presentations, reports, and other documentation to showcase the Agri CoE’s impact and the success stories of supported startups. Proficiency in effective communication and storytelling is essential.
5. Innovation Facilitation: Embrace an innovation-driven mindset and actively seek opportunities to foster the development and adoption of cutting-edge agri-tech solutions. Provide mentorship and guidance to startups, encouraging them to push the boundaries of innovation.

This contractual position is for 6 months extendable to 1 year and subsequent years based on performance evaluation.

Based on qualification & experience

Master’s/Ph.D. degree in Life science, Agriculture, Agri-Business, Rural Development, or related fields. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant industry experience.

• Proficiency in Kannada language is mandatory. Candidates who possess strong command over the Kannada language, both written and verbal, will be given preference during the selection process.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities, with a talent for fostering collaborations and partnerships.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Karnataka, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions, and across India to engage with stakeholders and support deployment activities.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and comfortable with creating engaging presentations and documentation.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the agricultural sector.
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in startup ecosystems, agri-tech initiatives, or rural development programs.
