IndiaBioscience invites researchers, research administrators, educators and others across the research ecosystem to a live conversation with Aparna Gupta, Principal Expert, Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), on ANRF’s working paper, ​“What is Impact? Generating Dividends of Economic Growth and Societal Benefits from Research and Innovation.”

The paper sets out ANRF’s framework for evaluating the impact of research, development and innovation funding, including the markers and pathways that may influence how research is assessed across career stages and institution types.

How to engage with the session?

This session will begin with Aparna talking about the implications of the impact framework from ANRF, and will be followed by interventions and questions from attendees who will be a mix of researchers across career stages, and research professionals from life sciences.

To help make the conversation substantive, participants are encouraged to engage with the paper and supporting resources before submitting their questions. During registration, you will also be asked to indicate how much of the paper you have read.
