Workshop Program:
Part 1: Foundation Topics [~1.5 hour]

This portion of the workshops introduced you to the foundation topics and acts as a warmup session- getting you to think of important themes. It will also contain quiz/​zes.

Topics covered:

a. Introduction + Building the mindset
b. Choosing a career path
c. Building skills for a career path

Part 2: Skill Development + Practice [2 hours]

This is an intensive skill development chunk where training will be provided on key aspects of navigating a career in science. It will also contain an important in-session group assignment to practice the training.

Part 3: Ethics, Professionals + Guest Speaker [~ 1.5 hours]

Here you will learn about work ethics and professionalism and get to hear from and interact with a guest speaker (a successful science professional)

a. Gearing up for the workplace
b. The science and art of networking
c. Professionalism and work ethics
d. Role models and mentors
e. Guest talk

Note: Attendees must be present and participate in the entire workshop.
