This fellowship programme provides an opportunity for scientists, technologists, engineers and social scientists to develop skills and contribute to STI policymaking process at various stages in government, academia and industry. Acknowledging the demand and interest, this year’s DST-STI-SFP call is expanded in thematic scope and reach.

Hosting and Placement

Selected fellows will be hosted at one of the DST-CPRs or identified active policy group with provision to be placed at identified S&T agencies (based on mutual consent and selection committee’s approval).

Fellowship Tracks

Three fellowship tracks designed for two years with a possible extension of one more year.

1. Senior Policy Fellow
   1. Eligibility: PhD with 3 years of policy experience
   2. Age Limit: 42 years
2. Postdoctoral Policy Fellow
   1. Eligibility: PhD
   2. Age Limit: 40 years
3. Young Policy Professional
   1. Eligibility: Masters’ Degree
   2. Age Limit: 30 years

In all three tracks, age relaxation of 3 years will be given to candidates belonging to SC/​ST/​OBC/​Physically Challenged and Women candidates.
