AMS-DBT Newton International Fellowship for Postdoctoral Research

Profile

The Newton International Fellowship Scheme was established to select the very best early career postdoctoral researchers from all over the world, and enable them to work at UK research institutions for two years (or longer if working on a part-time basis).

This round of competition is delivered in partnership with the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. Under the terms of the innovative arrangement that is in place, the DBT will provide awardees with a third year of funding, to enable them to continue their research in an eligible research institution in India. Fellowships in this round of the scheme will therefore be awarded for a total of 36 months.
