Event Details

The Indian Society of Cell Biology (ISCB), formally established in 1976, serves as a national forum to promote cell biology research in India. The 43rd annual meeting of ISCB, termed as the 43rd All India Cell Biology Conference, will be held in the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali from December 19 – 21, 2019.

The primary objective of this meeting is to bring together scientists from different parts of India who are keen to understand the basic principles of cell biology and the mechanisms underpinning them. We aim to create a platform that will not only allow us to listen to some latest and exciting discoveries in cell biology, but will also foster interactions to exchange results and ideas leading to initiate new collaborations.

The conference will include a full range of academic sessions, Prof. J Das memorial lecture, plenary lectures, panel discussions and workshop. We plan to have around 20 invited speakers. A limited number of slots are also available for short talks by young investigators who have started their career as independent investigators in the recent past. Platform presentation by students constitutes an important aspect of the meeting. Some of the works, based on the submitted abstracts, will be selected for platform presentation. Other researchers will get an opportunity to showcase their findings through poster presentations. We encourage scientists trained in physical or chemical or mathematical sciences, but have an interest to understand cell biological processes, to participate.
