Sunaina Singh obtained her bachelor’s degree from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India, majoring in crop science. She got her master’s degree and doctoral degree, both in the field of plant genetic resources, from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. She was awarded the CSIR fellowship for her doctoral research. She also has certification for lectureship from CSIR-UGC NET. Some of her papers have appeared in journals like Journal of Plant Biochemistry and Biotechnology and Acta Horticulture. She has also presented papers at various national and international conferences. After brief stints as a guest lecturer at the Department of Life Science, Mumbai University, and as a Senior Associate Editor at CACTUS, she has been working as a freelance academic editor for CACTUS, as well as for researchers in agriculture, genetics, and molecular biology, for the last 9 years. Having had hands-on experience in scientific laboratories, lecture rooms, and the academic publishing industry, she loves to work closely with researchers and students to help them communicate their findings effectively and refine their research manuscripts to maximize chances of publication.
