Post-Doctoral Research Fellow
Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer

Applications are invited from highly motivated and skilled Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join our cutting-edge cancer research team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to pioneering research in the field of cancer biology, with a particular focus on stem cell research and animal models of cancer at ACTREC. The applicant must have obtained a PhD degree from a recognized University. Those who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree are also eligible to apply. However, if selected, such candidates will be offered a fellowship equivalent to a Senior Research Fellow until they obtain their degree. The position is for 2 years.

Project Research Scientist
National Centre for Biological Sciences — TIFR

National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) invites applications from suitable individuals for the position of Project Research Scientist – I (non-medical) under the project sanctioned up to three years. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

The project aims to explore the factors contributing to the aggressive nature of postpartum breast cancer in young women by utilizing genomics, transcriptomics (both bulk and spatial), and pathological data. The candidate will work with these datasets, as well as publicly available data, to conduct integrative data analysis and develop statistical models.

These models will be used to predict factors associated with clinical outcomes and identify prognostic markers. The candidate is expected to be familiar with coding (R/​Python), basis statistics, next-generation sequence analysis (DNA-seq/RNA-seq) and cancer biology.

Postdoctoral Researcher

The role will involve a combination of molecular and microbiology skills and genomics to identify species involved in SCS, using bioinformatics and computational modelling to create solutions for scale up, and quantitative assessment of soil fungal microbiome and its impact on soil carbon levels. They have already hired a Project Associate who’s working on the experimental part. They hence would like to hire a postdoc with hands-on training in bioinformatics, omics analysis, some computational modelling, and an interest in exploring experimental approaches as well.

Applications are invited for the post of PhD student in Cell and Developmental Biology at Tel Aviv University, Faculty of Medical and Health sciences.

The Zaidel-Bar Lab invites highly motivated students to join its effort to decipher how the cytoskeleton is regulated during development and in physiology. The lab takes a multi-scale approach from single proteins to the organism and system level, using a variety of cutting-edge technologies, most notably advanced microscopy, in the nematode C. elegans. Its goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms cells and tissues employ to change shape, migrate, sense, and generate forces that are essential for life.

The Zaidel-Bar lab is located in Tel-Aviv University, which is the leading interdisciplinary research and teaching university in Israel.
