Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the SERB-DST project of Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Scientist, NIPGR. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR. Qualifications: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum SR/S9/Z‑08/2018 dated January 30, 2019 and having Master’s degree (with minimum 60% marks or equivalent) in Life Science/​Biochemistry/​Biotechnology/​Molecular Biology/​Botany or any other branch of life science are eligible to apply.

Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join the project focused on restoring a peri-urban lake in Bengaluru. The lakes in and around Bengaluru are facing significant challenges, including pollution from untreated wastewater, solid waste disposal, and encroachment due to the drying of lake beds. They invite motivated candidates to become part of their interdisciplinary team. Together, they are developing innovative solutions, including nature-based strategies and improved governance structures, to restore and sustain lake health. The ideal candidate should possess strong copy writing and communication skills, proficiency in basic graphic design and video editing tools, good organisational abilities, and a keen interest in science communication, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
